Intertwined Series | Raveled Update

Hello, all!

It's August! I thought now might be a good time to give an update on how Raveled, the last installment in the Intertwined Series, is coming along, sooooo ... without further ado, I have good news and bad news. The good news is I'm loving the second draft so far! It's exciting and intense and much better than the first draft, I can promise you that. The bad news is I won't be able to release the final draft by fall of this year, or even this year at all. It seems I vastly underestimated just how big of a beast this story really is, and being that it's the final book in the series, I can't bring myself to publish it until I'm absolutely one hundred percent happy with it.

There's a lot to wrap up and a lot to bring together, and, honestly, this book is really two stories in one, not just because of how long it is, but because, for those of you who've read the first two books, Intertwined and Tethered, you know exactly what I mean when I say there is much more happening on the page than just the present.

That said, I've come to the realization that postponing the release date until sometime next year is all I can manage for now. I know, I know. I hate not meeting deadlines! And I hate making readers wait! But, as it is, I'm a one-woman show and all I can do is my best to deliver the greatest story possible to you, even if that means taking my sweet time doing it. Don't get me wrong--I'm working as fast as I possibly can, but I'll be honest, this story is very challenging and very draining, both mentally and emotionally, which took me by surprise considering I'd already written some pretty heavy scenes in Tethered. Although, now that I think about it, those scenes had taken weeks to get down. I really want to do the story justice and give the characters, who I've come to love like family, the best farewell I can give them, so in order to do that--and avoid massive burn out in the process--I'm letting the story unfold at a pace my brain can comfortably execute without compromising the quality of the writing or undermining what the characters are dealing with as they trek the final hurdles of their journey.

Hopefully, the end result will be worth the wait! I promise to keep you posted, and if you don't hear from me in a while, it's because I'm busy writing and whipping Raveled into shape. Until then, the blurb and cover reveal has also been postponed. I'll let you know as soon as I have a new release date. Thank you so much for stopping by! It means the world to me!

Check back for an update soon :)
